Motivated by Gore's rich heritage of innovation, we launched Gore Ventures to increase collaboration with entities who share our strategic focus on key market and technology sectors. Together, we’re accelerating our collective positive impact on society.
Investment Approach
We accelerate innovation through minority investments in start-up companies that are strategically aligned to Gore’s business interests and achieve both strategic and financial results. Our Enterprise Venture Capital team manages these investments with a dual fund structure.
Sustainability Funds
Through the Gore Sustainability Fund, we’re investing in strategic opportunities that align with the growth of our Performance Solutions and Fabrics businesses.
We’re prioritizing investments with the potential to address critical sustainability challenges and help minimize the environmental impact of our products and those of our customers. Areas of interest include:
- Hydrogen economy
- Batteries for EVs and energy storage
- Carbon capture, use, and storage
- Sustainable fabric innovations
- New Growth Vectors
Health Care Funds
The Gore Health Care Venture Fund is dedicated to investments that align with the strategy and portfolio of our Medical business.
Our investment priority is on companies with the potential to improve patient outcomes and strengthen our products’ value to healthcare providers. We’re looking for companies with a strategic focus on treating and diagnosing:
- Vascular disease
- Cardiac & structural heart disease
- New growth vectors
The Team

Bret Snyder, PhD
Location: Delaware
Bret Snyder serves on the investment committee for Gore Venture Funds. Bret is president/CEO and chair of the board of W. L. Gore & Associates. He joined Gore as a full-time Associate in 2008 and held various roles in research and development, as well as several special projects in product strategy, Enterprise strategy, litigation and risk.

Scott Moonly, PhD
Location: California
Scott Moonly leads the Gore Ventures team. He applies his extensive experience in academic research, consulting, investment banking, venture capital, and start-up management, to drive innovation and growth in the life sciences industry.

Jason Wolfe
Location: Arizona
Jason Wolfe provides business leadership to the Internal Ventures Team focusing on the identification and development of organic growth options. Jason has expanded his commitment to include being an investor for both the Health Care Fund and the Sustainability Fund.

Ed Rubin
Location: Delaware
Ed Rubin has more than 30 years of experience within Gore in new product and business development, sales and marketing, and technology development. Currently, Ed focuses on Gore's Sustainability Fund, where he leads investment initiatives in technologies that benefit the environment.

Josef Conner
Location: Arizona
Josef Conner joined Gore in 2016 as part of the Medical Products Division, aiding in innovation portfolio analytics and launch modeling, which included analysis on return metrics for innovation projects and competitor profiles to compare innovation spend. Josef currently provides financial diligence to both arms of the Ventures organization.

Kirk Howell
Location: Arizona
Kirk Howell leads the Corporate Governance and Administrative Team for Gore and provides legal support to/acts as general counsel to Gore Venture Funds. Kirk joined Gore in 2022 as a corporate and mergers and acquisitions attorney, before taking on his present commitments in 2024.

Kami Sandoval
Location: Arizona
Kami Sandoval serves as the general project manager for the Gore Ventures team. She works with customer groups to prioritize objectives and deliverables, and communicates project status, coordinates meetings on-site and off-site with both internal and external customers, as well as a range of back office functions.

This fundraise brings in new investments from Sofinnova Partners, Fall Line Capital, Sucden Ventures, Silver Blue, and the venture arm of W. L. Gore & Associates (makers of Gore-Tex®), which has been in a joint development agreement with Arzeda since 2022.
