Direct Air Capture
Lowering Emissions — and the Cost to Capture — with Direct Air Capture Technology.
Reducing Costs Associated With DAC
By minimizing pressure drop, increasing steam stability and more effectively using sorbent materials, Gore’s Structured DAC Contactor lowers operational costs and energy consumption associated with a DAC system. Gore’s structured contactors enable and enhance a variety of sorbent technologies, creating scalable solutions necessary to advancing DAC technology

Scaling Carbon Dioxide Removal Technology
Direct Air Capture (DAC) is a carbon dioxide removal technology that extracts CO2 from the atmosphere. These systems can be deployed at any location, rather than being limited to the site of emissions, and the deployment of DAC technology is critical to achieving the IPCC limits on global warming by removing legacy and hard to abate emissions.
Gore’s Structured Direct Air Capture (DAC) Contactor
Gore’s Structured Direct Air Capture (DAC) Contactor is used in Temperature Vacuum Swing Adsorption DAC systems. It applies decades of experience in creating composite materials used in separation processes and challenging environments to develop advanced materials for DAC. These hydrophobic sorbent composites are formed into a contactor, protecting the sorbent materials from degradation associated with direct steam. Contactors can take a variety of forms to suit a given DAC system configuration.
